Robert Rowley, MD, is an independent health care consultant. He created and developed the early EMR system, Medical ChartWizard, based on his own need for a more efficient record system.
As the former Chief Medical Officer at Practice Fusion, he guided the development of company’s Electronic Health Record system, connected with the physician community, and ensured that the system progressed in the best interest of doctors.
Rowley has over 30 years of health care experience. He has also accumulated extensive experience in managed care, having served for many years as a Medical Director and board member for Hill Physicians Medical Group. He also writes for EHR Bloggers on the topics of health IT and health policy from the physician’s perspective.
Rowley earned his medical degree at UCSF School of Medicine in San Francisco, California.
