Peter Neupert is Corporate Vice President of the Microsoft Health Solutions Group and an authority on the intersection of technology, health and business. Neupert started his career in technology, leading operating systems and the interactive media group for Microsoft. He gained a deep understanding of health care as President and Board Chairman of drugstore.com, which became a top online store for health and wellness products. While there, he served on the President’s Information Technology Advisory Committee and co-chaired the Health Information Technology subcommittee. Neupert is a member of the Institute of Medicine’s Roundtable on Evidence-Based Medicine, serves on the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health board and has testified before Congress multiple times, most recently on health information technology reform. Neupert is a regular contributor to leading publications, including Forbes, Health Affairs and the Washington Post’s Healthcare Rx Blog.
