Findings from a recent Markle survey support the statement that there is a general agreement on the sensitivity of identifiable health information and individuals should know when such information is breached in commercial situations.

The January 2011 survey found that 82 percent of consumers and 85 percent of doctors believe it is important to notify individuals when identifiable health information is exposed.
