Chloe Drew

Chief of Staff (Former)

Chloe Drew was Chief of Staff at the Markle Foundation through January 2019. Previously she served as Director of the New York City Mayor’s Office of Appointments where she led the Administration’s effort to recruit, select and appoint Commissioners and senior staff for over 50 city agencies and 200 municipal boards and commissions.

From 2008 to 2013 Drew led the Council of Urban Professionals (CUP), where as Executive Director she built and directed a multimillion-dollar portfolio of results-oriented programs that advanced leadership development and access to capital and opportunity for the next generation of diverse civic and business leaders in New York and Los Angeles.

Prior to her role at CUP, Drew served for five years as Campaign Director for U.S. Congresswoman Barbara Lee in California’s 9th congressional district. She also co-founded OaklandVOTE, a nonprofit dedicated to increasing voter participation in underserved communities.

Chloe earned an A.B. from Harvard College in History and Literature. She is a former board member of Latino Justice, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Wellesley Centers for Women and Emerge America.
