In this essay, former Markle president Lloyd N. Morrisett looked back at the growth of children’s educational programming in broadcast television and the development of cable television since 1969. Although by 1981 there had been some improvement in children’s television, Morrisett found the programs lacking, and he discussed what could happen if a children’s pay television service were developed.
