In this essay, former Markle president Lloyd N. Morrisett commented on the qualities and issues of contemporary older Americans compared to previous genrations of older Americans. He also discussed the “Aging in America: Current Trends and Future Decisions” survey about the use of technology by aging Americans that was conducted by the Markle Foundation in 1987.
