Patricia MacTaggart, MBA, MMA, is a Lead Research Scientist/Lecturer at George Washington (GW) University, and Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she instructs graduate students in health information technology policy, quality, and state health policy. She is co-investigator and instructor under the GW-HITECH University Based Training Grant.
A former Medicaid Director from Minnesota and Director at HCFA/Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, she is a member of the HIMSS Public Policy National Committee, a Board Member of AHIMA’s Foundation of Research and Education and the National eHealth Collaborative, a member the Markle Connecting for Health HIE Advisory Committee, NeHC Consumer Consortium Disparities Work Group, CAHMI Executive Committee, and March of Dimes Pubic Policy Committee.
