Robert Wah, MD, is Computer Sciences Corporation’s (CSC) Chief Medical Officer and Vice President in the company’s North American Public Sector organization. He is also the Chair of the American Medical Association Board of Trustees. Before working at CSC, he served as the first Deputy National Coordinator for Health IT at the Department of Health and Human Services. He served over 23 years on active duty in the U.S. Navy, and was the Military Health System Associate Chief Information Officer and Director of Information Management serving nearly 10 million patients in over 500 hospitals and clinics around the globe.
Wah is Board certified in both OB/GYN and Reproductive Endocrinology. He sees patients, does surgery, and teaches fellows and residents as faculty at the National Institutes of Health. He has served on the faculty of Harvard Medical School, the University of California, San Diego, and Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
Wah was raised and educated in Oregon, did residency at National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and fellowship at Harvard Medical School/Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School.
