Stanley S. Shuman has been an active participant in the principal investment and investment advisory industry around the world for over 50 years. He has also worked extensively in the media industry, having served as a Director Emeritus of News Corporation.
Shuman was appointed by President Clinton to the President’s Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board and served for 19 years as a member of the Financial Control Board for the City of New York. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Economic Club of New York, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Committee on University Resources at Harvard. He is also a Charter Trustee (Emeritus) of Phillips Academy, Andover.
Shuman has served as Chairman of the Board of Visitors of the Institute of Public Policy Service and Public Affairs at Duke University, the Lower Manhattan Development Corp., and SESAC.
Shuman serves on numerous civic and nonprofit boards, including Carnegie Hall, WNET/Channel 13 (Emeritus), the Paley Center for Media, and is Chairman of the Center for New York City Law. He is currently a Board Member of the Markle Foundation.
