Senior Director, Product Management, StayWell Health Management
As Senior Director of Product Management for StayWell Health Management, Mary Cain, MPH, is responsible for development and management of StayWell’s products and services across the health continuum including prevention, lifestyle management and disease management services. Previously, she was the Director of Process and Education at LifeMasters Supported Selfcare and was responsible for the definition, execution, training and measurement of business processes. Other relevant experience is as Director of Product Management at LifeMasters. Her focus has been on building programs that facilitate behavior change and patient activation. She is also passionate about creating opportunities for activated patients to engage in selfcare.
Before joining LifeMasters in 2003, Cain was the Director of Health Care Horizons at Institute for the Future (IFTF), a think tank in Menlo Park. While at IFTF, she was a key contributor to both volumes of Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s forecast: Health and Health Care 2010. She also authored several forecasts of the use of Internet in healthcare.
Cain holds a Masters of Public Health in Health Policy and Administration with a specialization in Aging from the University of California at Berkeley. Her undergraduate Bachelors degree is in German from University of Virginia. She is a member of CCA’s Transitions of Care Workgroup.
