Gina Bianco Perez, MPA, is presiden, CEO, and founder of Advances in Management, Inc. (AIM), a management consulting firm specializing in health information exchange strategy, planning, stakeholder engagement and operational development and sustainability.
In 2004, AIM was engaged to plan, develop and implement the Delaware Health Information Network (DHIN.) Until 2011, Perez served as Executive Director of the DHIN, where she provided leadership and executive oversight for the statewide effort to create an interoperable health care system in Delaware. Under her direction, DHIN became the first operational and sustainable statewide clinical health information exchange in the country.
Perez and her team also are supporting HIE planning and implementation in other state-level and community HIEs across the country, including those in Arizona, California, Mississippi, Michigan and others. She provides expertise in developing HIE governance, strategy, operational infrastructure, policies and sustainability; procuring technology, and establishing evaluation criteria. The AIM team also has been engaged by a myriad of state health and social services programs to provide strategic planning, coalition building and project management services.
Perez has nearly two decades of project management and executive leadership experience and has worked in both the public and private sectors in business and health care settings. She has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Marketing.
