Gilles Frydman is a pioneer of medical online communities and founder, in 1995, of the Association of Cancer Online Resources (ACOR), an online social network for cancer patients. One of the original members of the e-patients working group, Frydman was a co-founder of the Journal of Participatory Medicine. He was also co-founder and a past president of the Society for Participatory Medicine. He is currently involved in the development of a rapid learning system for cancer care.
